Food Technology Program
The food technology program trains personnel who can work in the laboratories and production processes of public and private organizations that produce food on a small, medium and large scale. In addition to field courses, the program also aims to increase the qualifications of graduates by providing English laboratory techniques and computer operation training to students. Graduates of this program are given an associate degree and the title of Food Technician. Students who complete the two-year education period with a high GPA can transfer to the faculties' food engineering, chemistry and biochemistry departments with the DGS exam.
Microbiological and technological analyzes of animal and plant food products can be carried out in food technology laboratories, and all students can receive training to work in food laboratories. As Food Technicians, graduates can work in the management, production and laboratory areas of all food producing enterprises and factories in the private and public sectors, as well as working in dairy farms, etc. They can work by establishing businesses.
Food Technician takes responsibility for the production and consumption of products in a quality and healthy manner in all processes from food production to consumption. He works as an assistant to the Food Engineer in the development of food production technology. It takes part in the physical chemical microbiological quality control of foods.
