Food Quality Control Program
Food Quality Control Program trains personnel who can work in the laboratories of public and private organizations engaged in small, medium and large scale food production and during production. In addition to field courses, the program also aims to increase the qualifications of graduates by providing English, Laboratory Techniques and Computer training to students. Graduates of this program are given an associate degree and the "Food Controller Job Title". Students who complete the two-year education period with a high GPA can transfer to the Food Engineering, Chemistry and Biochemistry Departments of the faculties with the DGS exam.
Animal and plant food products can be analyzed microbiologically and technologically in laboratories of various food sectors, and all students can receive training to work in food laboratories. Graduates can work as Food Controllers in the management, production and laboratory areas of all food producing enterprises and factories in the private and public sectors, as well as working in dairy farms, etc. They can work by establishing businesses.
Food Controllers take responsibility to ensure that products are produced and consumed in accordance with quality and health in all processes from food production to consumption. Food Controllers serve as assistants to the Food Engineer in the development of foods. It takes part in the physical chemical microbiological quality control of foods.
