Logistics Program
The importance of the logistics sector is increasing day by day, as it is one of the most critical areas for companies growing with international trade to achieve the quality they aim to achieve and to compete in foreign markets. Türkiye, according to the World Bank Logistics report; It ranks 27th among 155 countries in the world with a performance of 80.3 and a score of 3.51. This result is a very important indicator that our country has made great progress in the logistics sector. In addition, the inclusion of more qualified personnel in the logistics sector will fill the gap needed in the sector in a shorter period of time, which will have a positive reflection on the logistics reports and increase its share in the economic indicators of our country.
Our students who graduate from this program have the opportunity to find jobs in foreign trade departments, finance departments, logistics departments, export and import companies, distribution sector, storage sector, customs clearance sector and international transportation sector. However, by eliminating the qualified personnel shortage in the logistics sector, the opening of new logistics companies will accelerate and new workforce opportunities will be available.
Students graduating from the logistics program have employment opportunities in public institutions and private organizations that both provide/receive logistics services and organize logistics applications. They find the opportunity to work as intermediate staff, assistant managers or mid-level managers in the relevant departments of logistics and cargo companies, in the purchasing, marketing, logistics and foreign trade departments of national and international businesses, in the relevant departments of port companies, and in tourism companies of various sizes. They can also work as public personnel in units affiliated with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Customs and Trade. Graduates who want to continue their education have the chance to complete their undergraduate education by continuing their undergraduate programs with the Vertical Transfer Exam, and graduates who complete their undergraduate education can even find employment opportunities in the academic field along with their postgraduate education. Since it is a profession whose importance and effectiveness are increasing, the opportunity to find a job is quite wide. They can start business life by supporting their education with internships.
